The majority of Work From members are remote professionals with a desire to experience new things and see the world.
We are freelancers, entrepreneurs, remote workers, content creators and much more. You can do anything for work as long as you just need your laptop.
That said, you don’t need to be working to join a trip or have a “professional CV”. You can be retired, working on a project, taking a sabbatical, or just looking to meet like-minded people.
The typical age range is between 25-45, but don’t let that stop you from joining a trip. We accept anybody over the age of 20 to come with us.
We deeply believe that diversity of age, background and life experience is what makes each Work From trip special, and we welcome everyone from recent college graduates to grandparents to join us for an incredible experience.
Yes! Of course. Most of the time on a trip is up to you. Any trip you take with us is Your Trip. We make just enough structure so that you can connect with the other members on your trip, but nothing is required.
Normally, the more you put into the experience, the more you’ll get out of it. We give you the platform to stay informed and participate when you’d like to.
These experiences are tailored specifically to and for you. We do provide a productivity space for you at every location.
It is not required that you work or have a job while you are on a trip. You are not obligated to spend time doing anything that does not suit you.
You can normally expect between 10-20 people to be joining you, plus our local team.
Every trip is different, so it’s best to check the individual location page. We can’t always predict exact numbers until just before a trip starts.
Work From is not an employer, therefore we do not help with job searches or application processes before, during or after a trip.
Trips are meant to connect you with community members that can inspire and give the tools necessary to grow personally and professionally.
As we are a global community with people of many different nationalities, we cannot assist with obtaining visas. However, if you require a proof of payment of the experience, proof of accommodation, proof of acceptance into the Work From Community, we are able to provide these things on request.
We are also happy to guide you with relevant information on a trip by trip basis.
We do not require or provide travel and insurance and believe that everyone is able to judge for themselves whether it is something they might need before travelling.
We do, however, highly recommend purchasing it before you depart. In the event of natural disasters, political disruptions, or other events outside of our immediate control, we will not be able to issue refunds after our standard refund period of 30 days before your trip begins.
As soon as possible! There is only a maximum of about 15-20 people depending on the trip. All of them will fully book in advance. We recommend paying the deposit to reserve your place with us. Most trips will be full or nearly full within 45 days of the start of a trip.
You are more than welcome to arrive into your destination a few days before the trip begins, but you will be responsible for your own airport transfer and accommodation until the afternoon of the trip start date.
You may also arrive late, but this is not suggested as you may miss out on key community activities.
For departures, we recommend booking a flight for the last day of our retreat to receive your airport transfer. If you want to remain in the country after the trip ends, you are more than welcome but please be sure to arrange your own accommodation.
Of course, you may depart early at your own discretion as well, but charges may apply if you would like us to arrange an early airport transfer.
Airfare is not included in the total amount listed for each location. Flights to and from are purchased by each person coming to a Work From location. We are happy to help find you the right flights and make sure you are arriving at the right time and place.
Each trip is different, but we aim to make each trip as accessible and affordable as possible. This means equating the cost to what you would usually spend in a month. This ranges from £2000 – £3000.
Costs can include many extras. This might be internet upgrades, logistics, curated events, facilitators, and even infrastructure investments.
Once you’re ready to join a Work From trip, your spot is held as soon as your deposit is paid. Deposits are refundable less a £200 Cancellation fee up to 45 days before your trip start date.
Final payments are due no later than 45 days before your retreat’s start date. Up to 30 days before your retreat, a full refund will be given less your deposit, which can be applied one time and at no cost, to another Work From Trip that starts within 6 months of your original booking. No refunds or transfers will be available 30 days before a trip starts.
Absolutely! We do ask that you keep in mind that some of the most important aspects of the trip involve collaborating, working together, and socialising. If you and your partner are not community minded throughout the programme, then a co-living and co-working trip may not be the right choice.
Let us know if you would like to bring someone, we offer discounts for couples coming together as they will most likely be sharing a room.
Work From is happy to welcome friends of participants to join as guests for a few days. To keep things respectful and organised, we do have a few rules around this.
We don’t have trips with accommodations that are suitable for children at this time. We hope to be able to do this in the future.
Message info@workfromholidays.co.uk if you would like to be added to our family list so you are notified in the future if this is something we can offer.
